Now hiring! State Program Liaison for Children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

Educational Service Unit 9, located in Hastings NE, is seeking an individual to serve as the State Program Liaison for Children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing commencing with the 2018-19 school year.  The State Program Liaison will assist the Nebraska Department of Education by assuming a leadership role in the implementation of Nebraska’s State Plan for the education of children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

A master’s degree in special education, deaf education or the equivalent is required. The selected candidate must also possess a Nebraska Administrative certificate and have three (3) years of successful teaching and administrative experience with those who are deaf or hard of hearing.  The candidate must be able to communicate in ASL.
